Negrito
In this work, the photograph is never the beginning. It is only what remains visible.
Negrito exists where creation and existence can no longer be separated. It is the Imprint left when a life presses deeply enough into the work to leave a mark.
Within this territory, Thiago allows uncertainty to remain active. Paths are tried, abandoned, and sometimes rediscovered in unexpected ways. Failure is not avoided here. It is part of how the work learns where it must go.
What gives rise to each photograph is tension. Discipline attempts to sustain form while impulse pushes against it. Structure and rupture meet in the same place, and occasionally the work opens itself to deliberate anarchy, the kind capable of turning silence into noise.
The rules that operate here are never inherited. When they appear, they are written from the inside outward, shaped slowly by lived experience, time, and reflection.
The works exist in a strictly limited edition of 5 prints + 2 artist proofs, preserving the singular moment in which they came into being. They are rare.
What ultimately reaches your wall is not only a photograph. It carries the trace of a life that has crossed time, gathered silence, known noise, faced its own shadows, glimpsed light, and still found reasons to remain.
